In this teaching video the note on the staff is shown in relation to where it’s found on the keyboard. Middle C is the reference point. It’s important to know in which octave the key is located. For example, is the note in the octave below Middle C, or in the next octave down? A unique aspect of this video is the encouragement to sing the pitches. Music reading is “hearing the pitch(es) you see.”
