Singing with an Independent Accompaniment
One of the goals of a singing teacher is to have students develop the ability to sing confidently without playing the melody in the accompaniment. “Over the Rainbow” could be challenging because of the large leaps and drops in this of this beautiful melody. Pitch is ear desire and thinking pitch as you listen to the accompaniment is excellent discipline. Children like challenges. It’s fun to grow in skill and understanding.
