If Johann Sebastian could hear these additions and variations on his “Prelude in C Major”, I wonder what he’d think or say.  Because he was known for his improvisatory skill, I’d like to think he would be delighted to know that his music has inspired others to use their God-given gifts to create  In the meantime, I will enjoy creating, and I encourage my eight-year-old student to create.  He’s learning to play this prelude, to know the chord progressions, and even create his own melodic ideas for the opening phrases:  C   Dm/C  G7  C  Am/C  D7/C  G/B  Am7  D7  G.
